Use antiseptic mouthwash such as Corsodyl or Tarodent starting the day before the procedure. This is available from most pharmacies without a prescription and will reduce the number of harmful bacteria in the mouth that could cause infections following the procedure.
Have a light meal before the procedure. It is not necessary to fast before the treatment unless you have been specifically advised to do so. You will not be able to eat for an hour after the procedure.
Have some regular pain killers at home, such as acamol, ibufen/advil or optalgin.
Following the surgery, we will advise you to eat soft, cold foods for the remainder of the day.
